According to local conditions, EBICO resolves the crux of the electricity tension in Corontalo
In mid-June 2021, EBICO’s overseas projects will write a new chapter: the IPP project of the coal-fired power generation unit of Gorontalo Power Station in Indonesia has been successfully commissioned! The two ES900M mechanical proportional adjustment burners fulfilled their mission and played a Chinese movement in the land of Indonesia!
Gorontalo is located on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi. It is the 11th largest island in the world, with a population of more than 20 million, but with a large proportion of mountainous area and poor per capita disposable resources. At present, there is only one oil-fired power station that cannot meet the growing demand for electricity from the grid, and the problem of power shortage has become the crux of economic development.
Power Construction Corporation of China, as the backbone of global infrastructure interconnection, has delivered a series of high-quality projects to countries around the world over the years. For the Gorontalo coal-fired power station project, POWERCHINA takes a certain percentage of shares to obtain the general contracting and operation and maintenance business, and EBICO burners make every effort to ensure the smooth operation of the 50MW coal-fired unit.
The project selects EBICO ES900M natural gas burner, adopts a simple mechanical atomizing nozzle and high-energy ignition method, and the combustion efficiency reaches 99.9%. The comprehensive application of the program-controlled ignition system and the flameout protection device ensures the personal safety of the operator. Different from the conventional working conditions, the Gorontalo project is close to the ocean, the air humidity is high and the salt content is high, which means that the whole set of equipment will be in a humid and hot salt spray environment for a long time. The EBICO technical team took measures according to local conditions and paid more attention to corrosion resistance in the selection of burner materials, fans, and motors, which has won praise from Indonesian government departments.
EBICO and POWERCHINA make joint efforts. The newly added coal-fired power generating units will bring 700.8 million kWh of annual on-grid power generation to Sulawesi Island, which will greatly improve the shortage of electricity after completion. At the same time, EBICO has also enriched the project experience in Southeast Asia in practice, and accumulated strength for better building China’s thermal industry business card!
