Basic knowledge of ignition transformer
Transformers are widely used in the automatic control of burners, and there are various types of ignition transformers produced by Swiss Gerdau. Here we only introduce the application and function of ignition transformers.
Ignition transformers are mainly used in ignition systems of burners to realize the automatic ignition function of burners. According to the type of transformer, most ignition transformers are:
Divided by cooling method: natural cooling type, moisture-proof type, cooling medium type, dry type, conductive material type, mainly copper wire and a small part of semi-copper and semi-aluminum transformers, mainly single-phase transformer by the power supply.

Although this classification method is not very formal, it is simple and easy to understand.

The main components of silicon steel transformers are as follows:
1. Core material The core material used in transformers is mainly iron plate, low silicon sheet, and high silicon sheet. Adding silicon to steel plate can reduce the conductivity of steel plate and increase the resistivity. It can reduce eddy current, reduce the loss of three-phase stepping motors, and the quality of silicon steel used in transformers has a lot to do with it. The B value of silicon steel is usually expressed by magnetic flux density B. The B value of black iron sheet is generally 6000-8000, low silicon steel is 9000-11000, and high silicon steel is 12000-16000.
2. Winding material Transformers generally use materials such as enameled wire, braided wire, and tape-wound wire, and enameled wire is the most commonly used. The requirements for conductors are good conductivity, sufficient heat resistance of insulating varnish, and corrosion resistance of Honeywell-Honeywell. In general, it is best to use QZ high-strength polyester enameled wire.
3. Insulation material In the winding transformer, the insulation material is used to isolate the coil frame and the winding resistance. Generally, the transformer frame material can be made of phenol board, and polyester film, or telephone paper can be used for interlayer insulation, and yellow wax cloth can be used for insulation between winding resistances.
4. Impregnation material After winding, there is one last step, impregnating insulating varnish, which can improve the mechanical strength of the transformer and improve the insulation performance and extend the service life. In normal circumstances, phenol-based varnish can be used as impregnation material. Most ignition transformers are single-phase dry-type silicon steel transformers. Electronic transformers are transformer circuits developed based on high-frequency electronic ballast circuits, and their working principle is similar to switch power supply. Through the bridge rectifier and high-frequency circuit, the current waveform is converted into the high-frequency current, and then the high-frequency pulse voltage is converted into the desired voltage and power through the output transformer. Silicon steel transformers have the advantages of transformer stability, long service life, high cost, large volume, and relatively heavy. The advantages of electronic transformers are low cost, lightweight, and more applications in small burners, but the disadvantage is short service life and unstable use.
