The answer is No. Although methanol and ethanol belong to oil-fired boilers, the combustion modes of the two fuels are very different. Although methanol and diesel are both petroleum fuels, there are essential differences between them. Methanol is highly volatile and corrosive, and the atomization mechanism in the combustion process is different. Therefore, if the diesel boiler needs to use methanol, the original diesel burner and pipeline system should be replaced by the methanol burner and pipeline system.
