The boiler will have a water level gauge to control the water level inside the boiler, also known as a boiler level gauge. The boiler water level gauge should be cleaned regularly, at least once per shift, to prevent water and steam containing impurities and salts from affecting the use of the water level gauge. Rotate the secondary valve of the water level gauge, open the drain valve of the water level gauge, drain the water, close the drain valve, and rinse with water or steam for cleaning.
The reason why it is necessary to clean the boiler water level gauge is that during the operation of the boiler, water or steam containing impurities and salts enters the water level gauge, water pipe, and glass tube, and these impurities and salts adhere to the water level gauge. If the joint is on the inner wall of the steam water connection pipe and glass pipe, the cross-sectional area of the steam water connection pipe will gradually decrease over time, and the water level gauge will not be able to accurately reflect the boiler water level.
If the boiler water level gauge is not cleaned for a long time, it will not only affect the safety of the boiler, but also result in incorrect water level, causing water shortage or full water accidents. To ensure the reliable operation of the water level gauge during operation, the boiler water level gauge should be cleaned at least once per shift.
