Jilin Petrochemical Company’s Refining and Chemical Transformation and Upgrading Project
The Refining and Chemical Transformation and Upgrading Project of China Petroleum Jilin Petrochemical Company is the first large-scale petrochemical project approved by the state since the 14th Five Year Plan, and it is also an important measure for Jilin Petrochemical to promote the transformation of its refining business from “fuel” to “chemical products and organic materials”. The project was fully launched on February 8, 2022, with a total investment of 33.9 billion yuan, and plans to build and renovate (expand) 28 sets of facilities. At present, the overall progress of the project has accumulated to 80%. On November 30th, 18 sets of equipment will be delivered to China, and will be fully put into operation by 2025. After completion, it can achieve an annual increase of 2.8 million tons of chemical products.
