The construction site of Jilin Petrochemical Company’s refining and chemical transformation and upgrading project is located in Jilin Chemical Industry Circular Economy Demonstration Park, Jilin City. This project is the first large-scale petrochemical project approved since the national “14th Five Year Plan” and is also a key project in Jilin Province and China Petroleum’s “14th Five Year Plan”. The implementation of the project will drive the enterprise towards high-end, intelligent, and green development, achieving the goal of transforming from “fuel” to “chemical products and organic materials”.

Around the transformation and upgrading project, Jilin Petrochemical Company optimized and adjusted the structure of its refining products, increased production of basic organic chemical raw materials and organic synthetic materials, and maximized the conversion of carbon into chemicals and chemical materials. In order to reduce carbon emissions from the product end and focus on source control, the company effectively helped the project construction reduce emissions and achieve full energy utilization by adopting the European EC-GR series combustion equipment and intelligent control system, flue gas recirculation, and new catalytic nitrogen removal technology.
