Shenyang Brilliance BMW’s 25-ton Steam Boiler Supporting Low-nitrogen Burner Project
BMW Brilliance Automotive Co., Ltd. is a joint venture established by BMW Group and Brilliance Automotive Group Holdings Co., Ltd. Its business covers the production, sales and after-sales service of BMW brand vehicles in China. With an investment of 1.5 billion euros, the Tiexi plant of BMW Brilliance is BMW’s largest production base in the world, which is covering an area of more than 2 million square meters, and about the size of 5 Forbidden City. At present, the Tiexi plant is mainly responsible for the production of BMW 3 series, BMW X1 and 2 series wagons.
The Tiexi plant of BMW Brilliance has four complete automotive manufacturing processes, which including four workshops for stamping, welding, painting and final assembly. It is a veritable vehicle manufacturing plant that also has vehicle testing functions. The complicated processes such as steel stamping and vehicle painting put forward high requirements on the quality of heating equipment, and at the same time set a lot of challenges for the boiler’s core component burner.
The target boiler for this project is five 25-ton steam boilers, and the EBICO team is equipped it with EC9GR low-nitrogen burners, which is using natural gas as fuel. This series of burners uses the latest vacuum internal mixing technology (VIC) that is developed by EBICO. It can control NOx emissions to a very low value without adding FGR, while effectively improving gas combustion efficiency, which is fully in line with the BMW Brilliance Tiexi plant Project request.
