Steps for descaling steam boilers
Boilers are divided into steam boilers and hot water boilers. Steam boilers are mainly for industrial production, although they are sometimes used as heating boilers, but this is rare. After running for a period of time, a large amount of dirt will inevitably accumulate inside the boiler, and these dirt accumulations are chemical reactions caused by high temperature combustion of fuel and boiler hardware. In order to ensure the operation efficiency of the boiler, certain measures should be taken, such as descaling of steam boilers. Below are the steps for descaling steam boilers:
a. Open the water inlet of the target boiler;
b. Take an appropriate amount of descaler, the specific number of grams should be determined by the capacity of the boiler, but usually a quantitative 20 kg descaler is taken, then diluted with water at a ratio of 1:10 and poured into the furnace;
c. To ensure that the internal of the boiler is cleaned without dead ends as much as possible, fill the boiler with water, and wait for the water level to reach the maximum when the water level reaches the highest point, just need to wait for the descaler and slag in the furnace to fully react, approximately 2-3 hours;
d. After determining that the descaler has played its role well, open the drain outlet of the boiler and discharge the liquid in the furnace;
e. In order to avoid the residual descaler in the furnace affecting the combustion efficiency of the boiler, it is necessary to flush it with clean water again to end the descaling of the steam boiler; Emphasize that during the scaling process, if the water in the furnace is heated or the chemical reaction time between the descaler is significantly extended, the scaling effect will be better (generally heated to 50 degrees Celsius can remove stubborn slags). In addition, the descaling cycle should be every 6 months.
