Under the blazing sun and the noisy project site, all kinds of large machinery operate in an orderly manner. Not far away, several brand-new kitchen cases and stacks of white tableware seemed out of tune with the scene. You can smell the aroma of the food from hundreds of meters away. When I got closer, it turned out to be a crispy roasted suckling pig with a shiny oily sheen. People in various hard hats scrambled to taste the food and share the moment. The above scene took place at the construction site of the third runway project of Hong Kong International Airport, congratulations on the successful trial laying of the asphalt concrete base of the main runway! Hong Kong International Airport, one of the busiest airports in the world, has expanded the existing two-runway system into a three-runway system in order to consolidate and strengthen its status as an international aviation hub. China Power Construction Corporation contracted the airport runway construction project, and EBICO participated in it as the designated core main component of the project.
The trial laying operation of the concrete base is located on the east side of the runway. The test plot is 50 meters long and 30 meters wide, with a total area of 1,500 square meters. A total of 300 tons of asphalt concrete was paved, and 4 pavers were jointly paved at the same time, which was a grand scene.
The airport road pavement uses a 4000-type asphalt mixing plant. After completion, it will become an asphalt concrete mixing production system with the largest asphalt concrete output, the largest investment, and the highest environmental protection standard in Hong Kong SAR. The EBICO selection team comprehensively considered various factors and finally locked the EBS2500 special burner for the asphalt mixing plant. This type of burner is suitable for light oil as fuel, with high combustion efficiency, low energy consumption, electronic intelligent proportioning, high rainproof, dustproof and explosion-proof grades. It is an excellent burner product that has been tested in the roadbed market.
In order to ensure the smooth progress of the trial shop project, Yan Xuehao insisted on staying at the project site and working closely with the cooperative units. In the process of producing asphalt, Yan Xuehao was calm, carefully checked and debugged on-site, and tracked the operation of the system in real-time. Yan Xuehao will continue to stick to the runway project site and complete the unfinished mission.
This is not the first time EBICO has cooperated with Hong Kong. EBICO cooperated with Hong Kong as early as a few years ago during the construction of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, the “world’s highest bridge across the sea”. Before the opening of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, EBICO burners participated in the entire paving construction of the asphalt pavement.
