What are the flushing methods for boiler water level gauges
The boiler water level gauge needs to be cleaned regularly to avoid affecting its use. Generally, the flushing method is used. Before cleaning, the secondary valve of the water level gauge is closed, and then the drain valve of the water level gauge is opened. After the water is drained, the drain valve is closed, and the flushing work of the water level gauge begins. There are two flushing methods:
1. Rinse with water
First, close the primary and secondary valves on the steam side of the water level gauge, and isolate the water level gauge from the secondary valve on the water side. Then open the drain valve of the water level gauge, close the drain valve after the water is drained, and start flushing the water level gauge. The pressure of the flushing water is controlled by opening and closing the secondary valve on the inlet side of the flushing water level gauge. Slowly open the secondary valve on the inlet side of the water level gauge to allow the water flow to pass through the connecting pipe between the water side secondary valve and the steam side valve in sequence, Steam side secondary valve, water level gauge, fill the water level gauge with water, then close the water side secondary valve, open the drain valve, and rely on the pressure and weight in the water level gauge to remove dirt. Rinse repeatedly and check. If the water level gauge is clear, stop rinsing.
2. Air flushing
First, completely close the primary and secondary valves of the water level gauge, then slightly open the drain valve, open the steam side primary valve to full open, and slowly open the steam side secondary valve 1/5 turn. Clean the oxide mica sheet with high-pressure steam, and adjust the flow rate of high-pressure steam by controlling the opening of the steam side secondary valve (the opening should not be too large, otherwise the fuse will block the channel). The flushing time is 3-5 minutes. If the water level gauge is reset, the flushing work can be stopped. After flushing, close the secondary valve, drain valve, and primary valve.
