What is a DC boiler?
The waste heat boiler utilizes the sensible heat or (and) the heat generated by the combustion of combustible substances in the exhaust gas, waste material, or waste liquid in industrial processes to heat water to a certain temperature and provide hot water or steam for use in other sections, greatly improving the utilization rate of fuel combustion and reducing costs and increasing benefits for enterprises. A once through boiler is a type of boiler that converts feedwater into steam by passing it through various heating surfaces at once. Its circulation ratio is equal to 1.0, and the feedwater passes through the economizer, evaporative heating surface, and superheater in sequence through the pressure head of the water pump, and is all converted into superheated steam. In a medium capacity once through boiler, there are three basic types based on the arrangement of the furnace evaporation heating surface: horizontal surround tube coil type, vertical upward tube screen type, and return tube screen type.
Compared with natural circulation boilers, the advantages of once through boilers are that the arrangement of the evaporation heating surface is relatively free, which can be applied at supercritical and critical pressures. It is easy to manufacture and saves metal due to the absence of a drum. In addition, it has fast start stop and flexible adjustment. Its disadvantages include high requirements for water quality and automatic adjustment, high resistance of the evaporation heating surface, and high power consumption of the water supply pump.
